Collection of 10 AI tools by Google in 1 place

Google AI tools

In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, Google’s suite of AI tools stands as a beacon of innovation and practicality. From simplifying complex workflows to enhancing daily productivity, these tools are designed to integrate seamlessly into your everyday life. Whether you’re a professional aiming to optimize your work processes, a student looking for smarter ways to learn, or simply someone curious about leveraging technology for better efficiency, Google AI arsenal has something to offer.

Tools like Google Gemini, NotebookLM, Vertex AI, and TensorFlow provide solutions for creativity, data analysis, and machine learning, while everyday applications like Google Lens and Google Translate redefine convenience in real-time.

Embracing these tools not only boosts efficiency but also opens up opportunities to focus on tasks that truly matter, empowering you to achieve more with less effort.

#1 Gemini – for text-generation, analysis

Google’s Gemini is a multimodal AI model that can process various forms of data, including text, audio, images, and video. It comes in different versions: Gemini Nano for on-device tasks, Gemini Pro for powering Google AI services, and Gemini Ultra for handling data centers and enterprise applications. Gemini Pro is used in Bard, Duet AI, Chrome Ads, and Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE). It is pre-trained and fine-tuned on a large set of codebases, as well as audio, images, and videos. Gemini is designed to understand and interact with video and audio, and it outperforms GPT-4 in many benchmark tests. It is also capable of generating code for a video based on a demo visual as input. Google is taking a cautious approach with Gemini’s release, ensuring safety through internal and external testing.

#2 Photomath – to solve math problems

Photomath is a math-solving app that Google acquired in 2022. It uses AI to provide answers to complex math problems by analyzing a picture of the problem. The app provides step-by-step explanations for various math topics, from basic elementary math to calculus. Photomath also offers an optional subscription with textbook solutions and animated tutorials. Google already offers a similar tool in Google Lens as a ‘Homework’ filter. The app can be beneficial for school and college students and is available on both the Play Store and App Store. Google may integrate Photomath functionality into Google Lens and Search over time. The app has over 100 million downloads and a 4.5 rating on Android.

#3 MusicLM – for generating audio

MusicLM is an AI tool developed by Google that can generate music from text descriptions or hummed melodies. It can produce high-quality audio, including songs and instrumental tracks, that can range from 10 seconds to 5 minutes in length. The AI was trained on 280,000 hours of music and is capable of adding human-like voices to the tracks. MusicLM can also create a soundtrack that tells a “story,” by putting descriptions cumulatively in sequence. Google has not yet made MusicLM publicly available, due to potential copyright concerns and the risk of misappropriation of creative content.

#4 NotebookLM – for research purposes

NotebookLM is an AI tool powered by Gemini that serves as a virtual research assistant and note-taking tool. It can analyze up to 50 uploaded documents, making connections between various sources. Unlike other AI tools, NotebookLM specializes in the sources provided and can answer questions about the content, format it in a specific way, and provide citations. It offers features such as summaries, critiques, and audio overviews, where two AI hosts discuss the topics in your notes. NotebookLM can also generate timelines of events from the sources. The tool is designed to help people who need a ‘deeper-dive’ into a topic.

#5 DigiKavach – online repository for personal documents

DigiKavach is an initiative by Google India in partnership with FACE (Fintech Association for Consumer Empowerment) to help identify and warn users about potential financial fraud online. It is an early threat detection and warning system designed to identify emerging fraud patterns. DigiKavach works by studying the tactics of fraudsters, detecting threats, and collaborating with a wider ecosystem including the Cyber Crime Helpline (1930) of India. Google also uses its security system across platforms like Google Play Protect, Gmail, and Google Pay to provide a safe online environment. Google Pay has used AI models to detect suspicious payments, preventing scams worth ₹12,000 crore in the past year.

#6 Imagen 3 – for image-generation

Imagen 3 is Google’s highest quality text-to-image model, capable of generating an incredible level of detail producing photorealistic, lifelike images. Imagen 3 better understands natural language, the intent behind your prompt and incorporates small details from longer prompts. The model’s advanced understanding helps it master a range of styles.

#7 Audio Overviews – for podcast-like audio creation / listening

Google also unveiled “Audio Overviews,” the ability to generate audio discussions based on text input. For instance, if a user uploads a file document or texts, the AI will create an audio of it in which two individuals converse about the topics covered in the input file or texts. You can also ask the AI to create an audio in which discussions of the given content is done in some other context through interactive conversations. This feature is integrated into NotebookLM, letting you to listen to the paragraphs – kind of listening to a podcast.

This tool could really be useful for learners who prefer listening to topics rather reading. You can upload PDFs, any website link, texts, or Google Docs and start listening to the content.

Vertex AI is Google’s comprehensive platform for machine learning and AI model deployment. It simplifies the entire ML lifecycle, from data preparation to model training, testing, and deployment. With pre-built APIs and tools, developers can integrate powerful AI capabilities without extensive coding. It supports both pre-trained models and custom model development, catering to diverse needs. Vertex AI’s unified interface makes managing and monitoring models easier than ever. The platform also includes AutoML for users with limited ML expertise, democratizing AI access. With scalability at its core, Vertex AI is suitable for startups and enterprises alike. It supports a wide range of use cases, including predictive analytics, natural language processing, and computer vision. Built-in explainability tools ensure that users can understand and trust AI-driven decisions.

#10 Ask Photos – decodes photos

Another notable feature unveiled by Google is this “Ask Photos”. Google had made AI to understand users’ photos and help them to easily identify them, collect details from it via a simple voice prompt.

In a demo, when asked “What is my license number?”, the AI went directly to the license card, analyzed it and told the license number precisely. It’s awesome.

Indeed, another demo showed a person asking best photos of him in every hiking experience and it loaded for few seconds and gave the photos right on the screen. How easy it is. The feature helps the most, when you have the memory of the photo but can’t search in your dumped gallery.
