Now that your n8n automation platform is ready, it’s time to infuse intelligence into your AI Agents by installing Large Language Models (LLMs) directly onto your local machine. This is where Ollama comes into play. Ollama simplifies the process of running powerful, open-source LLMs locally, allowing your AI Agents to perform tasks like text generation, summarization, and understanding without relying on cloud services or costly APIs.

This chapter will first guide you through the quick setup of Ollama itself, and then show you how to download and manage various AI models to power your agents.

Step 1: How to Install Ollama in Your PC

Ollama provides a user-friendly way to get LLMs up and running. The installation process is straightforward for most operating systems.

  2. Pull (Download) a Model:To download a model, open your terminal and use the ollama pull command followed by the model name. For example, to download the Mistral model:ollama pull mistral
