Here’s everything to know about the new Apple Products – 2024

Apple recently unveiled multiple new products including the AI-enabled iPhone 16 series, Watch Series 10 and more in its event held on September 9 at its headquarters in California, United States.

From iPhones, watches to AirPods, Apple updated its portfolio with over half a dozen products that gets a whole new set of features enhancing the experience. Here’s what it introduced in the event:

  • iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
  • iPhone 16 Pro & iPhone 16 Pro Max
  • Apple Watch Series 10
  • Apple Watch Ultra 2
  • AirPods 4 and AirPods Max
  • Apple Intelligence features for iPhone 16 series

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus

Apple introduced the next-gen iPhones equipped with artificial intelligence for the first time. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus comes with Apple A18 chipset, and is enhanced with Apple Intelligence’s AI features that will make the handset much better than its predecessor iPhone 15.

iPhone 16 series also gets another interesting add-on – a new button called “camera-button”. The button allows you to open camera and take pictures instantly with just a press. It is touch sensitive, enabling it to handle camera features, scroll through it, zoom in and out and a lot more.

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus prices start at $799 (₹79,900) and $899 (₹89,900) and will be available from September 13.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max

The Pro models of iPhone 16 get a range of new features and hardware, including the Apple A18 Pro chip with second-generation 3nm transistors and a new 16-core neural engine that powers Apple Intelligence, designed specifically for generative artificial intelligence workloads. The A18 Pro chip helps powering new camera features of the Pro models.

iPhone 16 Pros has a 48+48+12 MP triple camera on the rear-side, in which the new 48-MP “fusion camera” enables the phone to read data 2x faster.

The Pro models also house the action-button and the thinnest borders on any Apple product launched so far.

The price of 6.3” iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999 (₹1,14,999) and the 6.9” iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199 (₹1,44,999).

Apple Watch Series 10

The Apple Watch Series 10 is the thinnest wearable by Apple till date and comes with a new wide-angle OLED screen, the largest display Apple has used in smartwatch to date.

The new watch is equipped with Apple’s S10 SiP (System in Package) and features a number of new capabilities, including alerts for sleep apnea, a condition in which people stop breathing while sleeping. Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399 and will be available on September 20.



Apple Watch Ultra 2

The Watch Ultra 2 includes dual-frequency GPS and advanced positioning software, offering the users better GPS performance in any sports watch. The watch also provides features like automatic stroke detection, lap counts, and new training load insights, making it ideal for athletes who need precise workout controls, such as through the action button, and longer battery life for endurance events.

Apple has introduced a new look and finishing for Ultra 2 in ‘satin black’. The wearable is available to pre-order at $799, at the same price of iPhone 16.

AirPods 4 and AirPods Max

Apple introduces AirPods 4 earbuds, starting at $129 (₹12,900) for a regular one and there’s also a higher-tier model which brings active noise cancellation and is priced at $179 (₹17,900). AirPods 4 runs on H2 chip offering enhanced audio quality with richer bass and clearer highs in an open-air design.

Supporting USB-C and wireless charging, the new airpods is also compatible with Qi-certified chargers and a built-in speaker for “Find My” functionality.

The new update for AirPods Max is in terms of features and colors. AirPods Max features active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and extended battery life of 20 hours. The AirPods Max features an over-ear design with memory foam cushions, providing both comfort and effective noise isolation.

Both the earbuds and headphones are available now for pre-orders with availability on September 20.

Apple has also introduced a new hearing Aid technology for AirPods Pro 2 aimed at addressing the needs for users suffering with hearing loss. This new feature focus on prevention, awareness, and assistance. It included a Loud Sound Reduction feature that helps protect users from harmful noise levels by using the H2 chip to actively reduce loud, intermittent sounds while keeping the audio experience clear. 

Apple Intelligence features

Apple Intelligence is the company’s new artificial intelligence capabilities which will power the iPhones. Apple Intelligence will bring AI to the iPhones by introducing couple of new features and enhancements of the existing features or services.

Foremost, the AI will start a new era for Apple’s voice assistant Siri. Users can prompt Siri with text; ask questions with their voices, even if they stumble over their words; pull up specific details from text conversations; and more.

Features such as generating emojis and a new Visual Intelligence feature will come later. Visual Intelligence lets you do things such as take a picture of a dog to find out what breed it is. Know more about Apple Intelligence features here.
