₹1,499 JioTag Air is the best alternative for Apple AirTag: Check Specs & Compare

Reliance Jio has launched an Apple AirTag alternative mini-tracking device “JioTag Air” for just ₹1,499, and it works both with Android & iOS.

For people who tend to forget where they had kept the things or when you are in travel, real-time mini-tracking devices could really be useful. Introduced by Apple in 2021 as “AirTag” costing ₹3190, the device helps you find valuables or frequently lost items like car keys, wallet or luggage.

Now, Reliance Jio has come up with an affordable mini-tracking device called “JioTag Air” at half the price of Apple’s AirTag, at just ₹1,499.

Reliance Jio’s JioTag Air aims to keep track of users’ items such as keys, wallets, pets and luggage. The tracking device is a cost-effective alternative to Apple’s ₹3,490 AirTag. JioTag Air is compatible with both Apple Find My network for iOS and JioThings app for Android, which provides an added advantage for it.

The device works on Bluetooth v5.3, connecting with your smartphone and has a built-in speaker that can make 120dB loud sound alert. Bluetooth v5.3 connectivity will provide you coverage for as far as 240 meters.

You can tie the JioTag Air with any of your frequently usable items and in case if you don’t remember where you kept it, you can simply go to the app (Find my for Apple & JioThings for Android) and make the device to scream to find its location.

JioTag Air has a one-year long battery life and the package come with an extra battery. So, a ₹1,499 purchase of JioTag Air will save you from losing things for two years.



JioTag Air Modes

JioTag Air comes with three modes – Find mode, Remind mode and Lost mode.

‘Find mode’ is when you forgot where you kept your things, and JioTag Air will help you find it easily with turn-by-turn directions to track the item. ‘Remind mode’, as the name suggests, will remind you if you forgot to take your things when you leave the door. Being connected via Bluetooth all the time, the device will notify you if your phone and the item get disconnected.

Lost mode helps to find the item you had lost, seeking help from millions of Apple device users. The significance of these mini-tracking devices is that the device can be technically detected anywhere in the world as long as there are other Apple devices around it that can signal to iCloud.

Indeed, JioTag Air has a global coverage, thanks to its Apple Find my compatibility. However, JioTag Air with JioThings provides more features than connecting it with Apple Find My community.
