Apple launches its brand-new iPhone 15 series with major camera and other upgrades in its variants, along with its other products including Apple Watch Series 9.
Apple manages every year to garner anticipation in the tech-world for its launch of new handsets, and it has done the same job, this year too. The reveal of iPhone 15 series is widely spoken, especially due to the replacement of lightning port with USB-C, for the first time in the history of iPhones. Apple iPhone 15
Apple iPhone 15, the vanilla model, has few major upgrades that makes the smartphone a little better than iPhone 14. USB-C charging port, dynamic island and 48MP main camera are the prime changes you can find in iPhone 15. In the display, iPhone 15 comes with the same 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina display and 60Hz refresh rate, supporting Dolby Vision content with 1,600 nits of brightness. The peak brightness of this display is 2,000 nits in sunlight, which is double that of the iPhone 14.
In the camera, the 48MP + 12MP primary camera is a huge shift from the 12MP + 12MP of iPhone 14. Apple also improves the night mode, Live Photos and action mode in iPhone 15 camera. Selfie camera gets autofocus and portrait lighting.
Performance-wise, iPhone 15 comes with Apple’s A16 chip, one that’s found in iPhone 14 Pro models last year. Apple also promises for “all-day battery life” with this vanilla model, thanks to a larger battery.
Other than this, iPhone 15 is more or less similar to its previous iPhone 14, especially in the looks. The price of iPhone 15 starts at $799 in US and ₹79,900 in India.
Apple iPhone 15 Plus
Coming with the same 6.7-inch display and all other similar features as iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus is considered identical to its parent iPhone 14 Plus. If Apple hasn’t rolled out USB-C, dynamic island and 48MP main camera, iPhone 15 Plus would be exactly as iPhone 14 Plus. iPhone 15 Plus also comes with A16 bionic chip, as iPhone 15. It features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection.
Excluding the display size of the smartphone, iPhone 15 and 15 Plus goes hand-in-hand. However, the price of iPhone 15 Plus starts at ₹89,900 ($899 in US).

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
The real upgrade from handset-to-handset is profound in iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Styled with a new frame, equipped with new features and button, the Pro models stand out in the launch, and the hefty cost also attributes to its highlights.
iPhone 15 Pro models get a new titanium frame which makes the handset to weigh less. They get a significant improvement in its processor with a new A17 Pro chipset built on a 3nm process. With 120 Hz LTPO Super Retina OLED display, and thinner bezels furbishes the phone as sleeky as possible.
With respect to camera, iPhone 15 Pro models get 48MP (f/1.8) + 12MP (f/2.8) and 12MP (f/2.2) with 3x optical zoom in 15 Pro and 5x in Pro Max. The 15 Pro supports 28mm and 35mm digital zoom modes for more lively portrait shots. The new A17 chip also allows the 15 Pro models to capture 4K 60fps in ProRes RAW with support for the ACES colour profile as well as 3D spatial videos which will be compatible with Vision Pro headset.
iPhone 15 Pro models equip NavIC – Navigation with Indian Constellation in India, which has been developed by India’s ISRO in collaboration with Qualcomm. It replaces the U.S Govt owned GPS tech.
The Pro models also comes with USB 3.0 Type-C connector allowing transfer speeds up to 10Gbps. With the new features lined up, it hikes the price-tag of the phone to $100, with iPhone 15 Pro starting at $999 (₹1,34,900), while iPhone 15 Pro Max starting at a whopping $1,199 (₹1,59,900).

Apple cuts the prices of previous models of iPhones drastically after the launch of iPhone 15 series.
